big blocks of plain text that is boring but tells you some updates
Hey guys! I have some good news to share with you guys! I actually finished a story! We're making progress here. Towards the end of June I decided to plot out a small story about an antique shop salesmen who gets hunted down by an evil demonic entity. Unbeknownst to him, the hell hound (said entity) is after an item of paranormal origins and he just happens to be in the way. I based the entire short piece after a story by H.P. Lovecraft, appropriately titled, The Hound, and it serves as the basic inspiration for my story.
I am not too pleased with it, and I admit that I have edited it some, but during the major construction of this piece, I was not happy with it. Not with the prose per say basic context of it, okay maybe a little bit of my prose. I stuck through with this project simply for sake of completing a project (remember that is what I am trying to accomplish in the coming months). I, of course, sent very rough first drafts to some of my beta readers (most of whom are probably just going to inflate my ego because they are friends or in a few cases, relatives; although I can generally count on my sister to be blunt with me about my writing).
In all honesty, I imagine my writing is as boring as my blog posts... I also imagine that both will get better in time. What we should really take from this is that I have made 2 posts relatively in proximity of each other. But 2 is the record so far, let's see if we can't go for 3? As for what is in store for me for the rest of the summer, I will continue to write. Prepare for those announcements I mentioned earlier, maintain my focus and of course, continue to write. I want my next story to capture the charm of having a summer excursion while playing into horror as well. Not too sure how I will craft that one effectively but that is part of the fun. I do think that I will put in somewhere within the little universe I have created with my most recent finished story. I will have ore news on that as I go. Allow me to diverge for a second as I am looking to be a little better about formatting on the blog. Seeing all these giant blocks of text is so draining. I get bored just looking at it and I can't imagine what you guys must be thinking when you're looking at it.
