Here is where it all begins
I’ll try to keep it short and sweet.

All human beings are artistic by nature and thusly desire to express that creativity. Art isn’t as one dimensional as you might be thinking, “blogging isn’t art!” you say! BA HUM BUG! (it’s too early for Christmas stuff, I know but bare with me). Art is a broad subject. Art is anything that allows you to be creative and to be expressive. Painting is art. Writing is art. Music is art. Cooking is art. You get the idea, some subjects just tend to be more esoteric than others (go ahead look it up, I’ll wait). Art is a lifestyle, and life is experience.
“Nothing ever becomes real 'til it is experienced.”-- John Keats
With the help of some friends I will share and analyze many topics to our experience. My good friend and former high school alum, Caitlyn Cowles, will provide virtually 100% of all the photography on the site. We will post poetry, a subject very near and dear to my heart, compliments of Tom Jacobs. Caitlyn, Tom, and I will analyze music, philosophy, pop culture, a pinch of technology, books, or whatever the hot topic (not the store!) of the month is. But the main staple of this site will be, to the best of my ability, poetry and photography. We will have conversations with folks we deem interesting or who we think may deserve some spotlight. These people may be artists in one form or another and we will cover those arts accordingly, others will be people that have an interesting story to tell. I, of course, retain the right to take certain liberties with names and locations in an effort to protect their privacy if needed or desired. Posts will occasionally be accompanied with music playlists and audio bits to help further enhance the content. We of course encourage you to engage with us and are open to comments and intelligible criticism. You can expect updates twice monthly, once in the beginning and another towards month's end and probably a few random posts sprinkled throughout.
Within the last few days I have often thought to myself, what can a couple twenty-somethings offer to the world? But experience is subjective, and you could learn something from a 50 year old poet as well as you could from a railroad worker, and as likely to learn something from a 20 year old college student or an athlete. As two people who are curious about the world, we try to build our lives around ideas, and that is what he hope to bring you, beloved reader.
