Hello and good morning (at least at the time I am writing this)! I’m looking out the window that sits right behind my desk and it’s a really nice bright day. Still plenty of snow on the ground but I highly enjoy the aesthetics of the sun reflecting on the snow. actually not the view from my window... would be nice though. Some of you very well may know that I submitted a short story to American Short Fiction some time in the last quarter of 2019. I got a response back within the first week of this year, and they did not purchase my story . If I said I was surprised by their decision, I would be lying of course. Although I was a little naive in hoping that I get some criticism from them, to which I didn't (obviously) and that is more disappointing to me then the rejection itself.
